The Institute under the membership of Inter Engineering Diploma Students Sports Association ( IEDSSA) encourages promising students with opportunities to prove their mettle in sports by wining prizes in various inter collegiate sport tournament in event like Throw ball, Badminton, Volleyball, Football, Cricket etc. The institute also organizes “Annual Sports Meet” to promote indoor & outdoor sports among students.

• IEDSSA Badminton Tournament – Zonal / State Level 2009-2010 Thakur Polytechnic Badminton team won the Zonal level against Somaiya Polytechnic, Vidyavihar on 15th Jan. 2010 and had reached till state level quarterfinal held at Mahavir Polytechnic, Nashik.


• IEDSSA Football Tournament Mumbai Zonal ‘A2’/ State Level 2009-10 Thakur Polytechnic Football team won Zonal level college football tournament in the Mumbai zone “A2” section against Sabu Siddhique College, Byculla.   Football team also won the State Level Football Tournament against Kolhapur Polytechnic, Kolhapur held at Pune.


• IEDSSA Cricket – Zonal/ State Level 2009-2010 Thakur Polytechnic Cricket team won the Zonal Cricket tournament in the Mumbai Zone “A”  Section against Sabu Siddhique College, Byculla held at Pendharkar College, Dombilvli.   Criket Team won the state level quarter final against Shahad Polytechnic, Satara held at Pune.


• Winner of Badminton Zonal Tournament 2008 – 2009 (Mumbai Region) Under IEDSSA Thakur Polytechnic Badminton team won the Inter College Badminton tournament in the Mumbai Zone “A2” Section against Govt. Polytechnic Mumbai, at K. J. Somaiya Polytechnic, Vidyavihar.


• IEDSSA, State Level Badminton Tournament 2008-09 Thakur Polytechnic Badminton team won the state level title against Prawara Institute of Pharmacy, Prawara Nagar Loni at Government College of Pharmacy, Karad.


• MUMBAI A- ZONAL SPORTS MEET 2007-2008 Under IEDSSA Thakur Polytechnic Volley Ball team won the Inter College Volley Ball tournament in the Mumbai Zone “A” Section against Govt. Polytechnic Mumbai, at Pillai’s Polytechnic, Panvel.


• STATE LEVEL VOLLEY BALL TOURNAMENT Under IEDSSA Thakur Polytechnic Volley Ball team won the State Level Title for Volley Ball tournament against I.C.R.E. Polytechnic, Gargoti at Govt. Polytechnic, Miraj.

• NATIONAL THROWBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2008 our 2 students Mst. Keyur V. Gadhiya (Second Year Mechanical Engg.) & Ms. Tripti D. Attavar (Second Year Electronic & Telecomm.) has participated in west Zone Senior National Throwball Championship 2008 held at Ahmedabad conducted by The Gujrat Throwball Association (R) from 10th to 12th May 2008.
