The Institute under the membership of Inter Engineering Diploma Students Sports Association ( IEDSSA) encourages promising students with opportunities to prove their mettle in sports by wining prizes in various inter collegiate sport tournament in event like Throw ball, Badminton, Volleyball, Football, Cricket etc. The institute also organizes “Annual Sports Meet” to promote indoor & outdoor sports among students.

• IEDSSA Volley Ball Tournament – State Level 2010-2011 Thakur Polytechnic Volley Ball team won the Zonal level against Government Polytechnic, Amravati on 19th Feb. 2011 held at Government Polytechnic, Brhmapur, Nagpur.
